Topic 1: The way towards sustainable and resilient food systems
I am interested in food systems transition in a broad sense: relating to what we produce and consume (the turn towards more plant-based production and consumption), and how the food is produced (such as regenerative or organic) and distributed (regionally or locally based). Most of my previous and current projects relate to studying models of alternative and locally based food systems and to engage in action research/transdisciplinary research with co-creative processes aiming for place-specific food system changes/knowledge generation, for instance utilizing living labs as a framework. I have a special interest of connecting cross-sectorial aspects and aims in the research. I have a broad network consisting of change-oriented municipalities, other governmental bodies and organizations in Norway that could be relevant to bring in in future project and international collaborations.
Telemark Research Institute (TRI) is a social science research institute approved by The Research Council of Norway. We emphasize combining practice-oriented research with high scientific quality. Researchers participate in several national and international networks, such as the Sustainability Transitions Research Network and actively contribute in this network's agri-food thematic group.
TRI has five research groups:
Green transition
Municipal finance and governance
Municipal and regional development
Health, education and welfare
Cultural life and cultural policy
