The Polytechnic Institute of Viseu (IPV) is a Polytechnic University located in the city of Viseu, Portugal, and was founded in 1979. The IPV is a public higher education institution at the service of society with statutory, pedagogical, scientific, cultural, financial, administrative and property autonomy. IPV aims to provide its students with high level qualification (technical programmes, BSc, MSc and PhD), to produce and disseminate knowledge, as well as to ensure the cultural, artistic, technological and scientific training of its students, in full accordance with international reference frameworks. It integrates five units of higher schools and four research and development units. All of these activities are supported by an experienced administrative staff, which includes financial, human resources, and public relations managers, and a general project support team.
