I am a historian of food systems and have written on food processing, agricultural systems, and dietary change. I specialize in the history of consumer preferences as food systems industrialized.
I am looking to partner with those interested in changing food habits and preserving local food cultures.
The University of Stavanger and the Greenhouse Center for Environmental Humanities has a track record of EU Funding around citizen science, cultural heritage, and has hosted 5 MSCA fellows. Food history and culture are areas of interest.
The Greenhouse supports a growing community of academics who use history, literature, media, religion, philosophy and art to understand how people relate to nature and the environment. As an intellectual meeting place, we create connections between academics, museums, special interest groups and the public who are interested in environmental issues.
