Topic 1: The way towards sustainable and resilient food systems
We are primariliy interested in taking part in topic 1, since we have experience from leading and taking part in several projects with the focus on developing and promoting the food value chain for sustainably produced foods. We have an extensive network in this area in Sweden. We have recently coordinated a national application with the aim to coordinate and promote the production and distribution of sustainably and locallly produced protein rich crops, such as lugumes. In the application other regional cluster organisations and national organisations with this focus, such as Sweden Food Areana, take part. If there are some synegies with this project, that would be in particular suitable for us. However, iwe are interested in all kind of sustainbly produced foods, we are not confined to plant based foods.
We are a cluster organisation for the green sector with an empasis on supporting farmers and rural enterpises in the green sector in the western part of Sweden (Västra Götalands county). We do this primarily in three ways: By arraging seminars and webinars, offer advise for entrepreneurs in the green sector and take part in projects, often as project coordinators. We have experience from several projects involving actors in the value chain after the primary production. We have taken part in several InterReg projects and one with this focus that was finalized some years ago is REFRAME - Towards a Regional Food Frame, in which regional strenghts and resources were matched with food demands, We have also recently been engaged in a project with the aim of exploring locally produced vegetable foods that could be an important resource if internation trade would be cut off.
