Topic 2: New foods – Fostering innovations in food design, processing and supply via demand-and-supply reorientation
We are a research group specializing in life cycle assessment (LCA), seeking to join a consortium to develop a project on Topic 2: New Foods – Fostering Innovations in Food Design, Processing, and Supply through Demand-and-Supply Reorientation. Our team is dedicated to conducting environmental evaluations of products, processes, and services, with a particular focus on food systems, including the agrifood sector, fish and seafood, and novel foods such as algae and insects. We also bring extensive experience in nutritional LCA, integrating the nutritional quality of food products with their environmental impacts.
We are part of the Development of Chemical Processes and Pollution Control research group within the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Cantabria. The aim of our group is the Analysis, Modeling, Design and Optimal operation of raw materials transformation processes in competitive and sustainable products.
