As a postharvest specialist, my research interests revolve around postharvest disease control of fruit vegetables, environment-friendly treatments for controlling postharvest fungal rot, and tolerance mechanisms of fruit vegetables and their phytopathogenic fungi to cold storage.
In addition another importent reaserch topic in my lab is the impact of pre- and postharvest handling on the nutritional and sensory quality of fruit vegetables.
I'm also involved in breeding programs (public and commertial) of vegetables for extended shelf life.
