Nilüfer Municipality stands out with its investments in urban and rural areas to create a more sustainable urban environment. For many years, supported its work in the field of healthy food, agricultural production and responsible consumption with the concepts of 2020 Year of Agriculture and 2021 Food Year. In this context, created a sustainable ecosystem by supporting healthy food and increasing production.
In 2020, developed our work as a partner in the "FUSILLI- Fostering the Urban Food System Transformation Through Innovative Living Labs Implementation" project, funded by HORIZON 2020. With the project, zero kilometer agricultural practices, producer markets, Food Hub, Agricultural Analysis Laboratory, urban gardens, seed exchange and local food festivals were carried out. With the project, work has begun to establish a food policy and commission in the city.
With Future Foods collaborations, is planned to strengthen food policy and commission studies with innovative visions, starting locally and internationally. We are open to project collaborations to make food equal and accessible to everyone, especially through participation.
