Topic 1: The way towards sustainable and resilient food systems
We would kindly like to offer our expertise on artificial intelligence and digitalization applied to supermarket refrigeration systems.
The Smart Cooling and Heating Research Group is active at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU) in Sønderborg (Denmark). The group conducts research activities mainly related to sustainable cooling and heating technologies, natural working fluids, waste heat recovery, energy storages, conventional and smart control algorithms of HVAC&R units (e.g., data-driven control, adaptive model predictive control, energy optimizing control, reinforcement learning and safe learning-based control, model identification/estimation using machine learning algorithms, fault detection and fault tolerant control, robust optimal control), dynamic modelling, optimization and control of HVAC&R units, among others.
At present the group is actively working on energy storages, eco-friendly HVAC&R units and their smart control and digitalization, waste heat recovery, integration of renewable energy sources, high temperature heat pumps, among others.
