I am an economist and my research topics are related to (primarily environmental) sustainability in food production, marketing/sales and consumption, particularly plant-based (fruit, veg and legumes) and organic or pesticide reduced. I am studying both mainstream and alternative sales channels. A large part of my research is related to identifying barriers and enablers to consumers' dietary transition from animal-based to plant-based food. I work with qualitative (in-depth interviews and focus groups) and quantitative (surveys, econometric analysis) methods. I am interested in joining consortiums for both Topic 1 and 3.
The Norwegian Institute of Bioeconomy Research (NIBIO) is a research institute under the Norwegian Ministry of agriculture and food. Its goal is to contribute to food security, sustainable resource management, innovation and value creation through research and knowledge production within food, forestry and other biobased industries. My department, Economy and Society, is focussed on societal aspects of food and agriculture.
