Topic 1: The way towards sustainable and resilient food systems
This project offers an innovative solution for sustainable food production by developing a SMART CONTAINER system. This system utilizes cutting-edge technologies to enable vertical farming, soilless agriculture, and container farming in a controlled environment. The SMART CONTAINER will optimize resource utilization, enhance crop yields, and promote climate-resilient agriculture. This is a collaborative effort between Toprak Engineering (SME) and ANKARA UNIVERSITY (Prof. Dr. Hasan SİLLELİ), combining engineering expertise with academic research to create a commercially viable and impactful solution for the future of food systems.

Plant-based food development, physical and sensory analyses, and the use of food ingredients extracted from food wastes
Food technology: development of new products, evaluation and optimisation of raw materials
Biotechnology: Utilization of algae and by-products of food production for sustainable food production
Sustainable and circular bioprocessing, especially in the context of microbial foods
Agrivoltaic Systems
This project is a collaboration between TOPRAK Mühendislik and Ankara University (Prof. Hasan SILLEİ). TOPRAK Mühendislik brings engineering expertise in container design and construction, while Ankara University provides academic research in soilless agriculture and vertical farming.
