Topic 1: The way towards sustainable and resilient food systems
We would like to join projects that aim to make the whole food-chain sustainable regarding more local/regional/EU food being produced and residual food waste being minimased. To start buying more locally, municipalities need to start a process to gradually build up the system with local food producers. Every step of this journey is important to increase the share of local food sourcing and make the supply chain more sustainable. In order to make contacts more efficient and systematic, preparations are required, where information about the municipality's plans and contact with the market should be included from the beginning. We are interested in finding the knowledge and structural gaps in the food-chain and ways to fill those gaps.
We are a non-profit association with a regional cross-sector membership base of 80 organisations. Our association is used to working collaboratively in projects and always strives for cross-sector partnerships in our projects. Our association is also used to working with procurement and facilitating systemic changes in municipalities. In several of the projects in recent years our projects has focused on building sustainable food-chains with public authorities as buyers.
