Topic 1: The way towards sustainable and resilient food systems
We would like to join a consortium to offer our expertise in microclimate and/or regenerative agriculture under Topic 1 "The way towards sustainable and resilient food systems". Both concepts are based on optimizing the use of natural resources and ecosystem services.
Microclimate management at the local level can complement climate change mitigation and adaptation efforts and increase agricultural resilience against climate change. Regenerative agriculture is being rediscovered as prime way of doing farming. It is only through optimizing the use of natural resources, restoration of degraded resources and ecosystem services, and generating less wastes that we achieve sustainable food systems and improved food security. As MetaMeta, we aim to support the transition from the current resource-intensive farming to reduced-input regenerative farming.
