Topic 2: New foods – Fostering innovations in food design, processing and supply via demand-and-supply reorientation
We are an interdisciplinary team of veterinarians and biologists that would want to join the consortium. We specialize in food safety testing through microbiological analysis and are also capable of investigating microbial composition, including microbiome and virome studies.
The ROVETEMERG Center within Iasi University of Life Sciences is equipped with state-of-the-art apparatus and equipment that are representative of technological advancements in the field of medical-veterinary research. The center is structured into 2 biosafety platforms, Biosafety Level II and III, and consists of 7 laboratories (https://rovetemerg.uaiasi.ro/), allowing different research domains to be approached: health risk assessment and control and also assessment of the relationship between animal health, food and public health.
