Topic 1: Domestic food practices for enhancing sustainable and healthy diets
We are looking for one additional partner with technical expertise to support the development or further development of a digital tool/app within an EU consortium under Topic 1, Research.
We are particularly interested in partners who either already operate an existing food-related app or digital tool that could be adapted or further developed within a research project, or have proven experience in developing consumer-facing digital tools supporting healthy and/or sustainable food choices.
Expertise is appreciated in areas such as:
-design and development (or further development) of a consumer-facing app or digital tool;
-development of algorithms or decision-support logic (e.g. meal planning, recipe guidance, nudging);
-integration of retail-related data
TMG Research gGmbH is a leading research and consulting institute dedicated to supporting the transformation towards sustainable and healthy agri-food systems. Since its establishment in 2016, TMG has been working at international, European, national and regional levels, combining scientific research, policy advisory work and practical implementation.
A core area of TMG’s work is the conceptual, methodological and practical development of True Cost Accounting (TCA) for the agri-food sector. TMG supports the application of TCA in policy-making, governance processes, civil society and the private sector, including the development of data-based analyses, methodological frameworks, and systems for data collection and use. At the same time, TMG’s work goes beyond accounting approaches and addresses governance, incentive structures, regulatory frameworks and systemic change in food systems. Through this work, TMG is actively embedded in international scientific and policy networks.
TMG has experience in EU Horizon projects, with a strong focus on analysing the true costs of dietary patterns and food systems, assessing the availability and usability of sustainability-related data, and developing evidence-based frameworks to support healthier and more sustainable diets. In addition, TMG works on consumer-level interventions, sustainability communication and policy-relevant recommendations, linking scientific analysis with practical implementation.
In the previous FutureFoods call, TMG successfully secured funding in a coordinating role. Building on this experience, TMG combines expertise in consumer behaviour, socioeconomic aspects of diets, Planetary Health Diets, sustainability communication, governance and policy design, and the translation of research into scalable, real-world solutions.
