Topic 1: Domestic food practices for enhancing sustainable and healthy diets
We are interested in collaborating within the FutureFoodS framework by participating in international, multidisciplinary consortia focused on applied research and innovation for sustainable, resilient and healthy food systems. Our main interests include contributing to projects that promote healthy and sustainable diets, development and evaluation of functional foods, integration of scientific evidence into public health strategies, and implementation of sustainable and innovative food solutions. We are open to engaging in Living Labs, co-creation activities with diverse stakeholders, and initiatives that strengthen the link between science, society and the food sector.
Universidade Lusófona, through CBIOS – Research Center for Biosciences & Health Technologies, is a higher education and research institution with strong involvement in health, food, nutrition and well-being. CBIOS develops multidisciplinary research in bioactive compounds, functional foods, public health, food safety, sustainable innovation in food products, and the assessment of the impact of food systems on health and sustainability.
We have experience in national and international research projects, close collaboration with academic, industrial and institutional partners, and a strong integration between research, education and knowledge transfer. Our mission is to contribute to scientific and technological solutions that support healthier, more sustainable and socially responsible food systems.
