Topic 2: Towards diverse, sustainable and circular food processing systems
Amasya Municipality is interested in cooperating in international projects on circular food processing and smart packaging as a Living Lab host, local stakeholder coordinator and public policy partner. The municipality aims to support real-life testing of research outputs, co-implementation with local producers and SMEs, and assessment of transferability and upscaling across Europe.
Amasya Municipality is the local public authority of a medium-sized Anatolian city with a strong agri-food production base. The municipality plays an active role in sustainable food systems, circular economy, climate-friendly production and public innovation. Working closely with local producers, cooperatives, SMEs and academic institutions, Amasya Municipality acts as a public innovation actor providing pilot implementation sites and translating research and innovation outcomes into policy and practical guidelines.
