Our SME develops bacterial single-cell protein (SCP) from CH4. The product is already approved for feed (EU 68/2013), but does not yet have novel food registration.
We want to develop (functional) food ingredients from our SCP.
CH4 can be obtained from waste biomass (biogas). We can thereby close the carbon cycle and produce protein with low environmental footprint.

CIRCE was founded in Sept. 2020. Our gas fermentation lab is located in Vienna. We are an SME.
