This research group focuses on developing methods for investigating the cleaning process and process influences in open and closed cleaning operations.
This includes solutions for the following sub-steps/processes:
- Selection and development of model contaminants,
- Characterization of contaminants relevant to cleaning,
- Defined application of contaminants to complex surfaces,
- Characterization of liquid jets and films,
- Quantified monitoring of the cleaning process,
- Evaluation of cleaning efficiency,
- Cleaning simulation to increase process understanding and enable targeted optimization.
Furthermore, the test rigs are used to evaluate the cleanability of components and surfaces that come into contact with contaminants.
We contribute to the development of innovative products and provide development impetus for component manufacturers. We also optimize the cleanability of your machines and systems and conduct research into resource-saving production in manufacturing companies.
