Topic 1: Domestic food practices for enhancing sustainable and healthy diets
I am interested in joining an international consortium as an SME partner under the FutureFoodS Call 2, contributing to project ideas within the topics Towards diverse, sustainable, and circular food processing systems and Trust and transparency in sustainable food systems.
I have hands-on experience in developing innovative food products based on circular processing principles. In particular, I have conducted R&D activities on the valorisation of olive oil processing residues (olive pomace/prina) remaining after oil extraction, aiming to recover residual value and transform it into food-grade applications.
Within this scope, I have developed a snack-type, cracker-like food product derived from olive pomace, without the use of food additives, added salt or additional oil. This work has been supported and awarded under national R&D and innovation programmes (including TÜBİTAK TEYDEB and innovation project awards), and has resulted in multiple patent applications.
I am interested in collaborating with universities, research institutes and public organisations, as well as industrial partners, on projects addressing circular food processing, sustainable valorisation of food processing by-products, food quality, trust and transparency. I can contribute through pilot-scale development, data analysis, machine learning, and image- and signal-based assessment methods.

Yoka Fonksiyonel Gıda LTD. ŞTİ. is a small enterprise based in Türkiye, active in food research, development and innovation. The company focuses on the development of functional and clean-label food products, with particular emphasis on circular food processing and the valorisation of food and agri-food by-products, olive pomace in particular.
The company has experience in pilot-scale food product development and process optimisation, translating research outcomes into practical and market-oriented solutions.
