Topic 2: Towards diverse, sustainable and circular food processing systems
I am writing to you with the opportunity to join the Project Coordinator as a production, pilot production, and research partner. My experience is more than ten years of research and modification of biopolymer packaging for food contact. Circular economy and EU Biotechnology course Sustainable solutions in food packaging and packaging management is my job that I know best. My company can play an important role in a project that will turn theory into real practice and application. Biopolymers, food packaging is the future and I really want to contribute to its creation.
We all know that food is different and reacts differently to packaging. 35% of waste that is incinerated is synthetic packaging, our task is to make it biodegradable and biologically and mechanically recyclable. Biopolymers can be recycled back into production, which gives even greater added value to the entire waste system and the usefulness of the polymer. Today, microplastics, toxins, fats, fermented products are a problem that we can solve and bring to the market solutions that will successfully be used by the market.
My company UAB Inorega is a manufacturing company producing Biodegradable Milk, Beverage, Water Bottle Packaging. Our project has achieved very high results. We are constantly improving and modeling the production of Biopolymer mixtures for application in the production of mass packaging that is incinerated. We work with Vilnius VGTU, Kaunas KTU, Vilnius VU universities, conducting research and joint work.
