Topic 2: Towards diverse, sustainable and circular food processing systems
We are planning a project focused on the sustainable valorisation of fruit and vegetable‑processing side streams and the development of innovative food ingredients using extrusion technology. We are now specifically looking for partners that can contribute to the project in techno-economic analysis and cost modeling. Partners must be eligible for topic 2 and project type "Accelerating innovation".
IFN Schoenow e.V. is a research institute in north-eastern Germany. In the food and environmental section of the institute, we combine the expertise of food technologists, chemists and food chemists, biologists, microbiologists and biochemists and have many years of experience in biotechnology, food and environmental research.
We develop new solutions in food technology and, in doing so, cover the areas of product development and manufacture. We evaluate and optimize raw materials, as well as processing them by extracting, grinding, extruding and baking. The end result is a new product, including an analysis of the nutrients it contains.
