Topic 2: Towards diverse, sustainable and circular food processing systems
We are looking for an entity to join a consortium that will work to valorise agri-food waste through two processing methods: extraction of ingredients using innovative sustainable protocols; biotechnological bacterial fermentation processes.
The ingredients obtained will be evaluated systematically, including their incorporation into new food formulations on an industrial scale.
The proposal is innovation-oriented.
We need a partner who can contribute to impact-driven and innovation-oriented projects, carrying out life cycle assessment (LCA); techno-economic assessment (TEA); circularity assessment.
CTNC is a non-profit business research association. Our researchers work at the intersection of applied research, pilot-scale validation and direct industrial implementation. The centre supports agri-food companies in transforming scientific results into market-ready solutions, ensuring that research results respond to the real needs of the industry and can be effectively implemented.
The CTNC offers a dynamic environment for working on sustainable food technologies, circular bioeconomy, food safety, functional ingredients and industrial process optimisation, always under real operating constraints. Research at the CTNC is based on impact, feasibility and scalability, connecting laboratory knowledge with industrial reality.
We have a large pilot plant with lines for the treatment, extraction, purification and stabilisation of ingredients. Our facilities are also equipped with food processing lines, including packaging.
