Topic 2: Towards diverse, sustainable and circular food processing systems
Brief abstract: In this project, a strategic planning tool is intended, securing transition to shared pre-cooling infrastructure for post-harvest crops. A Cooling-as-a-Service (CaaS) Platform producing optimal strategic plans for shared pre-cooling facilities for post-harvest crops will be developed.
Cooperation interest: Looking for potential partners equipped with one of the following proficiencies:
- Front-end and back-end coding
- Collecting, analyzing, and processing GIS-based data
- Experience in post-harvest processes (especially in pre-cooling phase)
- A public authority providing their custom policies, goals, regional restrictions
- Expertise in socio-impact analysis
- Expertise in life-cycle assessment (LCA)
- Experience in technical background on cooling technologies (e.g., forced-air cooling, hydrocooling, vacuum cooling)
