Topic 1: Domestic food practices for enhancing sustainable and healthy diets
Our team, led by an Associate Professor and consisting of Nutritionists and an Artificial Intelligence Research Group, provides scientific expertise to integrate sustainability assessment with data-driven approaches in order to support healthier and more sustainable home food practices. We possess an implementation-ready conceptual framework for digital interventions as well as the necessary infrastructure to conduct comprehensive clinical and dietary assessments, including biomarkers. Our team specializes in the prevention of childhood obesity and digital health interventions.
Founded in 1976, Erzincan Binali Yıldırım University (EBYU) is recognized as one of Turkey’s leading research centers in the field of health sciences. The university hosts advanced research facilities and a strong academic environment that supports multidisciplinary scientific collaboration. The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics functions as a center of excellence in nutritional epidemiology and clinical nutrition research. The department is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratory infrastructure that enables high-precision biochemical analyses, dietary assessment methods, and advanced data-driven evaluations. Our research team operates at the intersection of health sciences and advanced technologies, with a demonstrated capability in developing artificial intelligence–supported systems. These competencies allow us to produce innovative solutions in the following areas: Personalized nutrition interventions, sustainable and health-promoting food systems, digital health tools for population-based nutrition improvement and clinical and community-based nutritional assessments. With this integrated expertise, EBYU is well-positioned to contribute scientific, technological, and methodological support to projects aiming to improve public health through data-driven and sustainable nutrition solutions.
