Topic 2: Towards diverse, sustainable and circular food processing systems
We are a research SME and dealing with precision fermentation. We developed some functional snacks and beverages by using fermentation technologies. Specific for this call, we have developed a project about upcycling of the side streams of food industry as well as wastes of food service industry. We will use solid state fermentation in the valorization process. We initialized a consortium together with a dairy and beverage manufacturer from Turkey and Research Institute from Germany. We are looking partners from eligible countries for necessary work packages such as formulation of the last product and market acceptance and sustainability validations.
Genc ve Naturel is a SME located in Izmir Turkey. The company is established as a spinoff startup in DEPARK TTO. The main focus is developing functional food products from idle raw materials, side streams and wastes. Genc ve Naturel has two different laboratories and a research kitchen with cafe options. All of these premises create the capacity of biotechnology researches, advanced instrumental analysis methods and consumer involvement approaches such as Creative Design, Living Labs and Co-Creation.
