We are interested in joining as a partner in research projects for Topic 1: “The way towards sustainable and resilient food systems”. Our main interest area is managing food waste from systemic perspective using design research methods and our expertise covers ethnographic methods as well as design futures approaches. Following that, we are aiming towards system/product level design interventions to be realized in real life and to complement and diversify our research we are looking for partners from different departments such as food engineering/science, social sciences and culinary arts. We also look forward to discuss and enrich similar research proposals with our design research expertise.

With a historical background tracing almost 250 years, Istanbul Technical University is an institution that plays a leading role in science, technology, arts and sports. ITU aims to be the center of science, which connects the past to the present by producing projects for the future. Industrial Design department, where we are employed, is part of the faculty of architecture with a strong research team.
