Topic 2: New foods – Fostering innovations in food design, processing and supply via demand-and-supply reorientation
We are actively seeking collaborations focused on processing microalgae & by- products through fermentation for developing innovative, functional food ingredients. We have been using fermentation technologies (LAB, yeast, Bacillus sp.) to process microalgae/by-product biomass into more functional ingredients (probiotics, imrpved bioactive &technofunctional properties) and more acceptable forms in terms of flavor&sensory properties. This innovative approach enhances the sensory attributes of algae, making them more appealing and suitable for a wide range of applications. We are open to collaboration with partners who share our vision of leveraging innovative fermentation technologies to unlock the potential of algae/by-product biomass. Whether through research partnerships, product development initiatives, or scaling innovative applications, we are eager to collaborate with stakeholders across the food industry.
