Döhler Turkey and R&D,
Döhler Group is one of the leading supplying company in the field of food and beverage ingredient and ingredient systems. The General Headquarter is in Darmstadt, Germany and was founded in 1873.
Turkey is leading one of the 7 Region of the Döhler Group namely TIP. In Döhler Turkey, a wide range of products are produced in 5 different locations, basically fruit and vegetable NFC juice and purees or concentrates, color and botanical extracts, compounds (ingredient system for beverages, foods and dry products), fruit preparations, plant based extracts and purees (pulse and cereals) , flavors (newly built) , dried products (Freeze dried products, spray dried products, conventional air dried, microwave dried products).
In Karaman Location, integrated in the factory by a separate building, one of the biggest R&D Research Center of Turkey by means of equipment facility and closed area (1600 m2) (Fig 1.) In this Research Center, comprehensive researches are performed regards to process development, prototype production for broad range of products in different applications. 40 FTE, including highly professional and young talents are fully dedicated to R&D, which are divided into different teams for research purposes.
R&D facilities are also dedicated for pilot and small scale productions in this research center including, hot air tray drier, spray drier, freeze drier, supercritical fluid extractor, extractor system that is run under 3 bar pressure with 2000 L capacity, press, decanter, resin systems, evaporator different types of filtration units (drum filter, kiselghur filter, paper filter, membrane filter unit).
Our laboratory infrastructure is equipped with advanced analytical instruments such as HPLC, LC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS, and UV, in addition to devices like pH meters, refractometers, and colorimeters, which facilitate process design and control applications. Furthermore, we also possess laboratory-scale process equipment that enables experimental process development and optimization.
With this equipment, food and beverage ingredients such as black-green tea extracts, coffee extracts, botanical extracts, color extracts, vegetable & Fruit puree concentrate, protein concentrate, dietary fiber, etc. produced and analyzed.
We have high capabilities to pilot scale and industrial productions of different B2B extract products and capable of industrialization of these products regarding the outcome of the intended project.
